SPSU’s “Solar Masters” National Champions at Smart India Hackathon 2024

Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur, is thrilled to announce the success of Team “Solar Masters” at the prestigious Smart India Hackathon 2024 (SIH). The team secured a ₹1 lakh prize by showcasing an innovative solution to a real-world challenge. This global event, organized by AICTE under the Ministry of Education, is celebrated as the world’s largest open innovation model, providing students with a unique platform to excel.

Team “Solar Masters”, led by Vaibhavpradhan singh Rajput, addressed the critical problem statement “SolarQuest: Innovate to Capture More Sunlight and Boost Energy,” provided by MathWorks India Private Limited. The team—comprising Harshita Maratha, Ashwani Sharma, Rudraksh Sharma, PriyanshSoni, and Suhani Gupta —developed a ground-breaking solution under the mentorship of Prof. Harsh Bansal and Prof. Dr. Anand Bhaskar. Their project was presented to industry experts at the New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru.


These second- and third-year students from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) demonstrated remarkable creativity, technical skills, and a deep understanding of renewable energy challenges. Their success highlights the innovation-driven culture and academic excellence nurtured at SPSU. The unwavering support and visionary leadership of Dr. Prithvi Yadav (Vice-Chancellor) and Dr. Amit Kumar Goel (Dean of FCI) continue to inspire SPSU students to reach new heights in national and global competitions.
